Our December/January Opening and Closing Dates

Our 40th Anniversary
Celebration
We're having a PARTY and you're invited!!
We'd love to see as many members of our community as possible come along and enjoy the celebration. There'll be a jumping castle, fairy floss, sausage sizzle, petting zoo and plenty more.
Former Tanderra kids, staff and management, their friends and family are very welcome! We' love you to enjoy our memory wall and tell us about some of your favourite memories of your time at Tanderra. Hope to see you then.
Our Assessment and Ratings Certificate
Our service recently underwent Assessment and Ratings; a process whereby the Department of Education visits the service to assess the quality of care being provided against the National Quality Standards.

We were pleased to attain MEETING all 7 quality areas. We are proud to see the results of the hard work and dedication of staff and management with the support of the families and community.
Sun Smart Centre
We are proud to be a Sun Smart Centre, having attained our Sun Smart Certificate once again in 2024.
​
Our comprehensive sun safety policy and practices help to protect children and support their understanding and awareness of sun safety for life.
Fundraiser: Breakfast on the Run
This year's Breakfast on the Run is coming up on Wednesday 3 April, 2024. It is a fundraiser to help the environment, planned and organised by one of our amazing year 6 children. Please get behind this and support the turtles by buying a delicious muffin and/or hot drink in before school care that day. Drop ins are very welcome as well as those families with children booked in for that day. Cash only please.

Year 6 Special Events for 2024
Our older children are looking forward to this year's special events, which give them an opportunity to spend exclusive time outside the centre with those of their age. It is part of our support for their transition to high school.

The events are open to all children attending Tanderra in 2024 who are in year 6.

Easter Colouring Competition
PRD Real Estate are offering children a chance to win some great prizes in their Easter Colouring Competition. Entries close 25 March. Hand finished entries to any of our staff at Tanderra.
Changes to CCS for people with an ATSI child
Changes are coming to CCS from 1 July. If your child identifies as a First Nations Australian (ATSI), you may be eligible to receive more support.

Changes are coming to CCS from 1 July. If your family was not eligible for CCS before, you may be eligible after 1 July as the income thresholds will be significantly lowered.
